The role can be summarized as follows :Research of the latest pedagogy and teaching methodology applicable to the company’s businessProvide directions at strategic and tactical levels for curriculum development based on approved business plan and requirements of markets that the company operates inLead the further development of the current curriculum mapping processDevelop new curriculum based on the company’s proprietary ICR framework, IB/PYP, Higher Order Thinking Skills or any other applicable framework and taxonomiesAlign content development and curriculum innovations with I Can Read HeadquartersReview and improve the existing curriculum framework and ensure that it is in line with the curriculum strategy and business planSet up the Curriculum Management System and Learning Management SystemAct as the spokesperson for the company with regard to all academic mattersDevelop strategic work plan and set professional development policies with regard to the teaching staff to maintain a consistent and high teaching standardCreate and implement professional development framework and training programme for teaching staff and share best practices with I Can Read HeadquartersEnsure proper training of all new teaching staff and continuous training for existing teaching staffWork closely with Operations Department to ensure smooth assimilation and transitioning of new teaching staff to the company’s literacy programmes, especially in the areas of delivery of lessons according to lesson plans, understanding the pedagogy, and communicating the pedagogy and learning outcomes to students and parentsCreate a performance measurement system and implementation plan for teaching staff together with the management teamRequirements:Strong leadership, people management skills and a deep sense of responsibilityHas good communication and interpersonal skillsStrategic planning capabilitiesHas good problem-solving skills and project management skillsAwareness of issues, particularly in the area of curriculum delivery, structures and student learningExperience in education management and curriculum design and development; knowledge in English literacy acquisition skillsKeeps abreast of the latest educational development and trends in curriculumIB/PYP experience preferred; Singapore MOE experience and Asian experience will be a plusMature individual who has at least 6 years of teaching experience and at least 10 years of experience in the education industryMinimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree in Education.
